How to Get Every JDM Legend in FH6 — R34, AE86, Supra, NSX & More

The single most-asked question in the Forza Horizon 6 community is "how do I get [X car]?" The answer depends on the car. Some are waiting in the Autoshow for a few thousand credits. Some are locked behind Festival Playlist seasons. Some are barn finds hidden under a specific bridge in Hokkaido. This guide is the master reference — for every legendary car in the game, here’s the fastest path to adding it to your garage.

1. The Five Acquisition Paths

Every car in FH6 enters your garage through one (or more) of these five paths. Knowing which path is which saves hours of grinding.

• Autoshow — direct credit purchase. The most reliable, most expensive, always available. Most production cars (R34, Supra, NSX, AE86) are here at fixed prices.
• Festival Playlist rewards — seasonal claim at 20/40/80/100% milestones. Free, time-gated, rotates every 4 weeks. The 100% car is the season’s headline.
• Barn Find — story-progression-locked discovery. Trigger the rumor by reaching the right Festival Rank, then physically drive to the barn. ~14 barn finds in the base game, mostly classic Japanese cars.
• Car Meet / Forzathon Shop / Convoy reward — event-based unlocks. Forzathon Shop uses the persistent Forzathon Points currency. Car Meet rewards are tied to Convoy participation.
• Auction House — buy from other players. Highest prices, instant access, no luck required beyond a working wallet. The fallback when every other path is locked.

2. The JDM Legends — How to Get Each One

Nissan Skyline GT-R V·Spec II (R34)

Primary path: Autoshow, base price ~165K CR (S2 891). Free path: Forza Edition (FE) variants rotate through Festival Playlist 100% rewards. Avoid: Auction House buyout (~3-5M for FE, 8-12M for Legendary). Buy Autoshow, tune yourself, save the credit spread.

Toyota AE86 Sprinter Trueno / Corolla Levin

Primary path: Autoshow, base price ~15K CR (B 600). Free path: Forza Edition variant appears in seasonal Festival Playlist rewards. Special note: The 1985 Trueno is the cheapest JDM drift platform in the game. The Levin is mechanically identical; pick by paint preference.

Toyota GR Supra (A90)

Primary path: Autoshow, base price ~55K CR (A 821). Free path: Forza Edition variants in Festival Playlist. Best time to buy: When the seasonal credits are flush (post-Festival Playlist 100% claim). The Supra is the cheapest S-capable platform, so the ROI on upgrades is high.

Honda NSX (2005 NSX-R GT)

Primary path: Barn Find (rumor unlocks at Festival Rank ~25). The NSX-R GT is story-locked and doesn’t appear in the Autoshow. Backup path: Auction House, ~10-15M for clean stock. Tip: The barn find is one of the longer-location reveals; check the barn find rumor map when the notification pops.

Mazda RX-7 Spirit R / FD3S

Primary path: Autoshow, base price ~85K CR (S1 706). Free path: Spirit R-type variants appear in Festival Playlist. Special note: The RX-7 is the most driftable rotary car in the game. The Spirit R is the most desirable trim; if you see it in the Festival Playlist, claim it on the day the playlist drops.

Porsche 911 GT3 / GT3 RS

Primary path: Autoshow, base price ~175-230K CR (S2 886-901). Free path: Forza Edition GT3 RS in Festival Playlist. Note: The 911 GT3 is the highest-PI Porsche in the standard lineup. Nissan Silvia K’s (S13)

Primary path: Autoshow, base price ~25K CR (C 500). Free path: Special edition variants in Festival Playlist. Note: The cheapest FR-layout drift platform. Slightly harder to find in the Autoshow stock rotation than the AE86.

Honda S2000 (AP1 / AP2)

Primary path: Autoshow, base price ~22K CR (C 600). Free path: CRX-style variants in Festival Playlist. Note: The high-revving F20C / F22C engine is the most distinctive in the C-class. The AP2 (2003+) is slightly more forgiving than the AP1.

Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI / IX

Primary path: Autoshow, base price ~38-45K CR (A 700-816). Free path: Special edition variants in Festival Playlist. Note: The EVO VI GSR TME is the most desirable trim for the rally heritage feel. The IX is the more refined daily-driver version.

Toyota 2000GT

Primary path: Auction House only, ~20-30M credits at the cap. No Autoshow — the 2000GT is a Legendary-tier car, never sold directly. Free path: Legendary drop from a Super Wheelspin is theoretically possible but extremely rare. Realistically, the Auction House is the only path.

3. The Barn Find Path — Story-Locked Legends

Barn finds are the highest-value free cars in the game. They’re story-locked — you can’t buy them in the Autoshow, and they don’t appear in the Auction House. The full barn find list for FH6 (locations vary by region):

• Honda NSX-R GT — Kyoto region. Festival Rank 25 unlock.
• Toyota 2000GT — Hokkaido coast. Festival Rank 35 unlock. The most expensive barn find.
• Datsun 240Z — Osaka industrial area. Festival Rank 15 unlock.
• Nissan Skyline Hakosuka — Tokyo outskirts. Festival Rank 20 unlock.
• Mazda Cosmo Sport — Hokkaido mountain road. Festival Rank 30 unlock.
• Subaru Impreza 22B — Hokkaido forest. Festival Rank 18 unlock.
• Mitsubishi GTO — Okinawa coast. Festival Rank 22 unlock.

4. The Festival Playlist Path — Seasonal Exclusives

The Festival Playlist exclusive cars are the rarest cars during their active window. The 100% completion car is unique to that season and disappears when the chapter ends. The current pattern (since launch):

• Each 4-week season features 3-5 new cars at the 100% milestone.
• Some cars are Forza Edition variants of existing models (e.g., a Money-Shift R34 FE).
• Some cars are completely new models that don’t appear elsewhere in the game.
• At the end of the season, the cars move to the Auction House at the cap price.

5. The Auction House Path — When You Don’t Have Time

The Auction House is the most expensive but most reliable path. The pricing patterns are predictable:

• Stock standard cars — priced at 2-3x Autoshow. A car that costs 165K in the Autoshow lists for 400-500K in the AH.
• Forza Edition cars — 3-5x the base model cap. The FE premium scales with the perk value (credit multiplier perks command more).
• Legendary cars — at the cap. The 2000GT, McLaren F1, Ferrari 250 GTO, etc. all list at 15-20M.
• Festival Playlist exclusives (post-season) — at the cap. The 100% reward car appears in the AH the day the season ends, priced high.

6. The Forzathon Shop Path — Persistent Currency

The Forzathon Shop uses Forzathon Points, a persistent currency that doesn’t expire. You earn FP through:

• Festival Playlist milestones (20/40/80/100% FP payouts)
• Weekly Forzathon challenges (100-300 FP per week)
• Daily Forzathon challenges (20-50 FP per day)
• Seasonal Forzathon Live events (variable)

The Forzathon Shop rotates its inventory weekly. Common offerings: clothing bundles, car horns, emotes, and the rare Forzathon Shop exclusive car. These exclusives are typically cosmetic variants of existing models, not new cars, but they can be the only way to get a specific livery or wheels combo. Check the shop on Tuesday/Wednesday when rotations are most common.

7. The Smart Acquisition Order

For a new player building a JDM-focused garage, the order that maximizes value-per-credit:

1. Festival Playlist first. Hit 100% on every active season. Free cars, unique variants, no credit cost.
2. Cheap Autoshow cars second. AE86 (~15K), S13 (~25K), S2000 (~22K). Build your drift/touge platform first.
3. Barn finds third. Trigger the rumors as you hit the right Festival Rank. The NSX-R GT and 2000GT are the most valuable.
4. Mid-range Autoshow fourth. Supra (~55K), EVO (~40K), WRX STI (~45K). Build your A-class daily drivers.
5. Premium Autoshow fifth. R34 (~165K), GT3 (~175K), 2000GT (Auction House only at 20-30M). These are endgame acquisitions.
6. Auction House last. Only for cars you can’t get any other way, or when you want instant access without the seasonal wait.
