FH6 Honda Prelude Type SH: C-Class FWD Tuning Guide

Published: October 8, 2026 ยท Last updated: November 6, 2026 ยท 8 min read

The FH6 Honda Prelude Type SH is the 20-point Summer reward in Series 6 Horizon Meets. It starts as a C 455 front-wheel-drive car, so the useful first project is a predictable C-class road setup, not an untested high-power conversion. This guide shows how to unlock it, spend your upgrade budget in a sensible order, and test whether a change actually improves your driving.

Timing matters: Playground Games schedules the Horizon Meets Playlist for October 8, 2026 at 2:30 p.m. UTC (10:30 p.m. Beijing time), even though the game update was available earlier. The official Playlist Hub has already published Summer rows, but a published web row is not proof that points can be earned before the in-game reset. If you are reading this before that reset, finish any remaining Series 5 Spring claims first.

The stock figures come from the official Horizon Meets announcement. The build priorities in the third column are FH6 Guide recommendations, not developer-tested settings or a guaranteed fastest tune.

Earn 20 Summer points before you start tuning

  1. Check the live reset. Open the in-game Festival Playlist and confirm Horizon Meets Summer is active. The official article gives a 2:30 p.m. UTC Thursday start.
  2. Use cars you already own. The official Summer list includes a 1973 BMW 2002 Turbo weekly challenge, an Ito Treasure Hunt, a Car Meet photo challenge, three championships, PR stunts, Time Attack, and The Trial. Read each tile before choosing an entry.
  3. Claim the Prelude at 20. The 40-point Summer reward is a 1973 Toyota Corolla SR5, but it is a separate goal. Do not assume earning the Prelude automatically completes the week's other tasks.
  4. Save a stock baseline. Run a clean lap on a repeatable road route before buying parts. Record lap time, braking stability, mid-corner steering, and corner-exit wheelspin.

The official Summer list is now specific about restrictions: โ€œVetting the Competitionโ€ requires Track Life S1, โ€œGhost Hunterโ€ Rally Monsters A, and โ€œBee Happyโ€ Modern Rally B. The Trial is Total Muscle A. The Porsche S1 Time Attack and PR stunts also cannot be done in a C-class Honda. The Prelude is a reward and a personal road-tuning project, not a universal tool for earning those first 20 points. See the Festival Playlist guide for the general points workflow and the season calendar for the rotation.

Build a C-class FWD road baseline in three passes

Pass 1 โ€” grip and control. Keep the stock engine and FWD layout while you learn the car. If you miss braking points or the front washes wide, compare a tire or brake upgrade before adding horsepower. Check how much PI each part costs and whether it preserves the class you intend to race. Do not buy an entire race-parts package just to copy a screenshot from another Honda.

Pass 2 โ€” adjust only what you can measure. An adjustable differential or suspension is useful only if you have a repeatable problem to solve. If the Prelude pushes wide under throttle, first try a gentler exit line and earlier throttle discipline. Then test a small front differential acceleration change, if the installed part exposes that setting. If it pushes even off-throttle, inspect entry speed and front grip rather than blaming the engine. Our suspension tuning guide explains how to isolate one handling change at a time.

Pass 3 โ€” add power last. After the car turns and stops consistently, add a modest power upgrade and retest the same route. Keep it only if average laps improve without extra wheelspin or worse corner exits. A single clean-looking best lap is weaker evidence than several repeatable laps. Save separate setups if you later want a higher-class or drift experiment; this road baseline is not a drift share code.

One more reason to keep the Prelude in your garage: Playground Games says parking it at the temporary 7-Eleven Konbini Car Meet unlocks the โ€œPlease Visit Again!โ€ badge during Horizon Meets. That is a separate post-unlock objective, not a way to earn the 20 points. For the broader upgrade logic, use our FH6 tuning guide.
