FH6 How to Start a Race - Beginner's Guide to Horizon Events
Getting started with racing in Forza Horizon 6 is easy! This guide shows you how to find and enter races, join Horizon festivals, and make the most of your first hours in FH6.
💡 New to FH6?Start with the Horizon Story missions to unlock races gradually. Don't rush into online multiplayer until you're comfortable with the controls.
Method 1: Start from the Map
The easiest way to find races is through the map:
- Open the map with M key (or D-pad on controller)
- Look for colored markers on the map
- Yellow markers = Road Races
- Blue markers = Showcase Events
- Purple markers = Horizon Stories
- Green markers = Horizon Adventures (main missions)
- Drive to a marker or select it and choose Quick Travel
Method 2: From the Pause Menu
Press Start/Pause and navigate to Festival Activities:
- Press Start/Pause button
- Select Festival Activities
- Browse categories: Road Racing, Cross Country, Drag, Drift, Horizon Stories
- Select any event and choose Start Race
- Choose to drive there or Quick Travel (costs credits)
