Forza Horizon 6 Story Missions Guide - All Locations & Walkthroughs

Story missions in Forza Horizon 6 are optional side quests that let you explore Japan through guided racing experiences. While not required to complete the Horizon Festival, stories are the best way to discover hidden corners of the map, learn about Japanese car culture, and earn stars toward progression. There are four story questlines available at launch.

Day Trips — Guided Tours

Day Trips follows Mei, a local guide who takes you on curated tours across different regions of Japan. These chill events showcase scenic routes and introduce you to landmark locations. Each chapter covers a different area — from coastal drives to mountain passes. No performance requirements; any car works. These are perfect for first-time explorers who want a curated tour of FH6's map.

Drift Club Japan — Tokyo Drifting

Drift Club Japan is set on the southeast island of Tokyo City, near the Daikoku Parking Area Car Meet. It consists of six chapters of drift-focused challenges. You'll earn stars based on your drift score and style. Good drift cars like the Nissan S15, Toyota AE86, or Mazda RX-7 FC3S excel here. The Daikoku area is also home to the weekly Car Meetup, where you can showcase custom builds.

Moto Auto Zine — Photography Challenges

Moto Auto Zine tasks you with photographing cars at scenic locations throughout Japan. Drive to指定的拍摄点, position your car at the right angle, and wait for the perfect shot. This story is more about exploration and photography than racing. It rewards players who take time to appreciate FH6's detailed recreation of Japan's landscapes and cityscapes. Chapters span multiple regions from urban Tokyo to rural countryside.

Yuji's Auto — Car Hunting

Yuji's Auto is a car-hunting storyline where you help Yuji locate and deliver specific vehicles for his repair shop and parade preparations. Chapters involve searching for cars in specific areas, sometimes requiring off-road driving or navigation through dense urban zones. Rewards include credits and exclusive vehicles.

Story Completion Tips

You only need one star per chapter to progress through the story — three stars simply reward extra credits. Play through stories early since they unlock fast travel points and introduce you to map regions you might otherwise skip. Each story has six chapters except Day Trips, which varies by region.
