FH6 PR Stunts Guide โ Drift Zones, Speed Traps, Danger Signs
FH6 PR Stunts span five types across Japan: Drift Zones (sustained drift angles), Speed Traps (one-time speed hits), Speed Zones (sustained speed through gates), Danger Signs (jump distance), and Trailblazers (precise gate racing). Speed Traps are easiest; Trailblazers are hardest. Best cars vary by type: hypercars for Speed Traps/Danger Signs, RWD drift cars for Drift Zones, AWD for Trailblazers. 3-starring all 200+ stunts is a 5-10 hour credit farming method.
PR Stunts are Forza Horizon 6โs signature open-world challenges, scattered across the Japan map. Five types test different driving skills: sustained drift angles, top-speed hits, sustained speed runs, jump distances, and precise gate racing. There are over 200 PR Stunts at launch, and 3-starring all of them is one of the most rewarding (and time-consuming) Accolade categories in the game. This guide covers each stunt type, the best cars for each, and the strategies to consistently hit 3-star ratings.
1. The Five Stunt Types
Drift Zones (~60 across Japan)
Drift Zones require sustained drift angles through a marked zone. The 3-star score threshold varies by zone, but most require 50,000-100,000 points per zone. Higher-tier zones (S2-class) require 200,000+ points.
- Best cars โ Mazda RX-7 FD3S, Nissan Silvia S13/S14/S15, Toyota AE86, Ford Mustang RTR Spec 5
- Best setup โ RWD, high power (600+ hp), rear-biased tire width, sport suspension with stiff rear ARB
- Technique โ initiate the drift early in the zone, hold the angle through the entire length, and avoid straightening the wheel before the zone ends
Speed Traps (~50 across Japan)
Speed Traps require hitting a one-time speed threshold through a marked camera gate. The 3-star score threshold varies by trap, but most require 250-300+ mph (400-480 km/h) at S2-class.
- Best cars โ Bugatti Chiron, Koenigsegg Jesko, Hennessey Venom F5, SSC Tuatara
- Best setup โ S2-class 998, top-speed optimized, minimal downforce, longest gearing possible
- Technique โ approach the trap from as long a straight as possible, build speed for 1-2 miles before the trap, hit the trap at full throttle
Speed Zones (~30 across Japan)
Speed Zones require sustaining a minimum speed through a longer marked stretch (vs. Speed Trapsโ one-time hit). The 3-star thresholds are lower than Speed Traps but the sustained requirement makes them harder.
- Best cars โ same as Speed Traps (hypercars), but also high-power GT cars like the McLaren 720S and Ferrari 812
- Best setup โ S1 or S2-class, balanced aero, race transmission for sustained high-speed cornering
- Technique โ maintain 200+ mph through the entire zone, lift slightly in corners, full throttle on straights
Danger Signs (~40 across Japan)
Danger Signs require hitting a ramp at sufficient speed and angle to fly a minimum distance. The 3-star thresholds range from 500 ft (150 m) to 1,500+ ft (450+ m).
- Best cars โ hypercars for maximum distance; off-road tuned trucks (Baja Buggy, Trophy Truck) for specialized jumps
- Best setup โ S2-class for hypercar jumps, off-road suspension for truck jumps, minimal weight, max power
- Technique โ approach the ramp at full throttle, launch at the rampโs takeoff point (not before), keep the car straight in the air, land smoothly to avoid crashing
Trailblazers (~20 across Japan)
Trailblazers require racing through a series of marked gates in sequence, against the clock. The 3-star thresholds are based on finishing within a target time.
- Best cars โ Subaru WRX STI, Mitsubishi EVO, Audi Quattro, Porsche 959 (AWD rally cars handle best in mixed-surface Trailblazers)
- Best setup โ AWD, balanced suspension, all-terrain tires for mixed surfaces
- Technique โ learn the gate sequence, hit each gate as close to center as possible, use the AWD grip to power through corners without lifting
2. Region-by-Region Stunt Counts
FH6โs Japan map is divided into five regions. Each region has a different stunt density:
- Tokyo โ urban stunts focused on Speed Zones and Drift Zones. ~40 stunts.
- Kyoto โ mixed stunts with strong Drift Zone and Trailblazer density. ~50 stunts.
- Osaka โ street racing focused, strong Speed Trap and Speed Zone density. ~30 stunts.
- Hokkaido โ rural stunts focused on Danger Signs and Trailblazers. ~50 stunts.
- Okinawa โ coastal stunts with strong Danger Sign and Speed Trap density. ~30 stunts.
3. 3-Star Strategy by Stunt Type
Drift Zones โ Angle + Duration
To 3-star a Drift Zone, you need to hold a high angle (45ยฐ+) for the entire zone length. Three failure modes to avoid:
- Straightening too early โ the drift ends at the zoneโs end gate. Donโt straighten the wheel until you cross the gate, even if the score counter says youโve hit the threshold.
- Spinning out โ over-correction at high angle causes spinouts. Use the handbrake to initiate, then modulate throttle to maintain angle.
- Too slow โ drifting at 30 mph gives fewer points than drifting at 60 mph. Maintain speed through the entire zone.
Speed Traps โ Approach Matters
Speed Traps are won by the approach, not the trap itself. You need to be at maximum speed when you cross the camera gate, which means 1-2 miles of straight-line acceleration before the trap. Use the mapโs road network to plan your approach โ look for long straights leading into the trap.
Danger Signs โ Speed + Angle of Attack
For maximum jump distance, you need both speed and the correct angle of attack. Too steep an angle and the car noses down on landing; too shallow and you donโt get enough air. The optimal approach is full throttle at the ramp, with the carโs nose slightly raised by the rampโs geometry. Mid-air, keep the car straight โ sideways landings count as crashes.
Trailblazers โ Gate Sequences
Trailblazers reward gate precision. Hit each gate as close to center as possible โ wider gates award more time bonus. Use the AWD grip to power through tight corners without lifting; the time penalty for slowing down is worse than the time saved by cutting corners. Brake boost on long straights between gates.
4. Credit Farming โ Why 3-Starring PR Stunts Is Worth It
3-starring all PR Stunts is one of the most efficient credit-farming methods in FH6. The math:
- 200+ stunts at 3 stars = ~5,000,000 credits average per run
- 5-10 hours to 3-star all stunts (depending on skill)
- 500,000-1,000,000 credits per hour effective rate
- Bonus โ completing all stunts unlocks exclusive cars (including a unique S2-class hypercar at full completion) and Accolade points
For comparison, traditional credit farming (auction house flipping, wheel spin grinding) yields ~200,000-400,000 credits per hour. PR Stunt completion is the most efficient credit-farming method for skilled players.
5. Common PR Stunt Mistakes
- Using the wrong car for the stunt type. A hypercar is great for Speed Traps but useless for Drift Zones. Match the car to the stunt.
- Not learning the gate sequences for Trailblazers. Trailblazers reward gate precision. Replay the Trailblazer a few times to learn the sequence before attempting 3-star.
- Approaching Speed Traps at the wrong angle. A cross-traffic Speed Trap requires a 90ยฐ turn at full speed. Plan your approach to enter the trap from the correct direction.
- Spinning out in Drift Zones. Over-correction at high angle causes spinouts. Use the handbrake to initiate, then modulate throttle โ donโt fight the car.
- Sideways landings in Danger Signs. Sideways landings count as crashes. Keep the car straight in the air by tapping the steering to correct any rotation.
