Forza Horizon 6 Best Cars by PI Class - Complete Tier Guide

Published: May 7, 2026 | 10 min read

Every PI class in Forza Horizon 6 has standout vehicles that outperform their peers. This guide breaks down the strongest cars in each class — from C-Class starters to S2 hypercars — so you always know which vehicle to grab next for your garage or your next race.

How PI Classes Work

Performance Index (PI) ratings range from C to S2 in FH6. Each class is divided into tiers (e.g., S1 800, A 700, B 500). Higher PI cars are faster in raw stats, but the best car isn't always the highest PI — drivetrain, handling balance, and your tuning setup all matter. A well-driven A 800 can beat a poorly-driven S1 900.

PI Class Tier List

Here's the overall competitive hierarchy — useful for understanding relative strength when choosing between options at the same PI.

S2 Class (940-999) — Hypercars and extreme performance machines. PI 980+ requires exceptional car control. PI 940-979 is the sweet spot for competitive racing.
S1 Class (800-939) — Superars and high-performance sports cars. The most competitive class in FH6 road racing. Excellent variety and balance.
A Class (600-799) — Sports cars and hot hatches. The sweet spot for mid-game progression and fun driving.
B Class (400-599) — Classic cars, economy cars, and entry-level sports. Great for themed events and vintage racing.
C Class (200-399) — Starter vehicles and base-model cars. Perfect for learning car control and early game progression.

S2 Class Best Cars (940-999 PI)

These cars dominate at maximum performance. The Aston Martin Valkyrie 2022 sits at S2 988 — the highest base PI in FH6 with 0-60 in 2.3 seconds. For slightly more accessible S2, the Porsche 911 Turbo S 2022 at S2 970 delivers supercar performance with AWD confidence — ideal for beginners moving into S2. The Koenigsegg Jesko 2023 at S2 980 offers incredible top speed with active aerodynamics. The Rimac Nevera 2023 brings 1,914 hp electric torque vectoring — a different driving experience entirely.

S1 Class Best Cars (800-939 PI)

S1 is the most competitive road-racing class. The Honda NSX Type R 2023 at S1 900 delivers the best handling-to-power ratio in the class — it rewards smooth driving and stays composed through corners that higher-power cars struggle with. The Toyota GR Supra 2020 at S1 887 is an excellent all-rounder with massive tuning potential. For pure speed, the Nissan GT-R R35 Nismo 2022 at S1 930 punches above most S1 competition. The Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 at S1 876 is the best track tool in S1 — RWD, mid-engine balance, and communicative chassis.

A Class Best Cars (600-799 PI)

A-Class is where most players spend the most time during mid-game. The Toyota GR86 2022 at A 814 is arguably FH6's best all-around car — affordable, reliable, RWD, and responds beautifully to upgrades. The Honda Civic Type R 2023 at A 801 offers incredible grip and daily-drivable practicality. For A-Class racing events, the Subaru BRZ 2022 mirrors the GR86's strengths. The Toyota Celica GT-Four at A 800 is an AWD rally machine that handles dirt and tarmac equally well.

B Class Best Cars (400-599 PI)

B-Class rewards creativity and themed builds. The AE86 Trueno/Levin at B 600 is the iconic Initial D legend — not the fastest, but one of the most satisfying cars to drive in FH6. For B-Class racing, the Nissan Silvia K's S13 at B 599 offers excellent drift potential and RWD handling. The Mazda MX-5 Miata 1994 at B 525 is an alternative starter vehicle that's nimble and forgiving. The Toyota 2000GT at A 764 is technically A-Class but so rare it often outpaces B-Class grids entirely.

C Class Best Cars (200-399 PI)

C-Class is your starting zone. The Nissan Silvia K's (1989) at C 500 is the best C-Class starter — balanced RWD handling and affordable price. The Toyota Celica GT-Four ST205 at C 499 is AWD and handles rough terrain well, making it the best C-Class option for off-road events. The GMC Jimmy 1970 at C 500 dominates C-Class cross-country races. For pure speed in C-Class, avoid high-PI C cars that sacrifice handling — consistency beats raw power at this level.

Drivetrain Breakdown by Class

RWD dominates A through S2 road racing — most skilled players prefer rear-wheel drive for throttle control and weight transfer. AWD is essential for winter/off-road events and beginners in high-power cars. FWD is generally a disadvantage in FH6 — only a few FWD hot hatches like the Honda Civic Type R are competitive.

Best Value Cars Per Class

If credits are tight: GR86 (A-Class), AE86 (B-Class), and Nissan Silvia S13 (B-Class) offer the best performance-per-credit ratio. Save expensive S2 hypercars for when you have the garage budget to match their performance.
