FH6 Known Issues & Community Reports

No game launches perfectly, and Forza Horizon 6 is no exception. Based on community reports from the official forums and pre-launch discussions, here are the known issues, bugs, and points of concern — plus what we know about Playground Games' responses so far.

Note: These issues are compiled from pre-launch community discussions. Many may be addressed in day-one patches or post-launch updates. This article will be updated as new issues are reported and confirmed fixes are released.

Community-Reported Issues

Interior View Too Dark

Players report that car interiors in FH6 appear excessively dark compared to FH4. Dashboard backlighting activates during daytime driving, yet instrument panels remain barely visible.

Community Findings:

  • Some users report instrument panels invisible even with lights on
  • FH5 had similar issues that received patches post-launch

Potential Cause:

Community member TheWarmWind76 identified a potential culprit: MSAA implementation in FH5 has a texture layering bug for translucent layers, possibly carried forward to FH6.

Community Suggestions:

  • Switch from MSAA to TAA, DLSS, or DLAA in graphics settings
  • Request a setting to keep instrument panel lights on at all times
  • Sync backlighting to activate only with headlights

Low Traffic Density in Online Mode

Leaked gameplay videos show roads appearing virtually empty in what should be one of the world's most densely populated cities — Tokyo. This occurs specifically in online multiplayer mode.

  • Roads look like a 'DESERT' despite representing central Tokyo

  • Community notes this was also an issue in FH5

  • Request: Dynamic traffic density based on time of day
  • Request: Higher pedestrian density in urban areas
  • Community suggestion for time-based traffic variation

Car Model Accuracy Issues

The official forums maintain a list of 14+ cars with inaccurate models — ranging from minor issues like wrong wheels to fundamentally wrong vehicle shapes. Notably, many JDM cars use modified USDM 3D models rather than authentic Japanese domestic market versions.

Community Findings:

  • Nissan Fairlady Z Z32: Side markers light up incorrectly as USDM side markers on a JDM model
  • Toyota AE86 Trueno: Community divided on accuracy
  • Honda Civic EK9, S2000 AP1, Nissan Silvia S14 — various accuracy issues listed
  • Developers using RHD models from FH5 rather than creating new ones

"One community member (MNPurple_V) offered a pragmatic take: 'Scanning entire interiors is too much work. I will take accurate USDM models over deformed JDM models.' Converting RHD to LHD was described as 'just swapping where the steering wheel is.'"

Community Suggestions:

  • Create authentic JDM models instead of modifying USDM versions
  • At minimum, fix fundamentally wrong vehicle shapes
  • Fix incorrect wheel models on flagged vehicles

Missing / Removed Active Aero Animations

Will These Be Fixed?

Based on Playground Games' history with FH4 and FH5:

  • Interior lighting issues in FH5 were addressed via patches post-launch — similar treatment is likely for FH6
  • Traffic density was a recurring FH5 complaint but was never fully resolved
  • Car model accuracy issues are typically addressed over multiple game updates
  • Active aero animation bugs tend to be low priority unless they significantly affect gameplay
